Coaches Huddles

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." (Proverbs 27:17)

How do you keep a sharp edge spiritually in the midst of all the challenges and pressures that come along with coaching? One thing is for sure, it can't be done alone.

There are currently two Coaches Huddles meeting in the greater Springfield area. Designed for fellowship, spiritual growth, and outreach, we pray these coaches huddles will have a maximum impact on some of our community's most influential people--our coaches!

If you're a coach, or simply have the heart of a coach, want to join others you easily connect with, and have a desire to grow in your relationship with Christ, please join us for one of our Coaches Huddles!

When and Where

Tuesdays: 6:30 a.m. at the Central IL FCA Office
Led by Greater Springfield Area FCA Field Associate, Doug Pollock

Thursdays: 6:15 a.m. at the SHG Football Office
Led by Central IL FCA Area Director, Kevin Elliott

At the heart of FCA are coaches. Our role is to minister to these men and women by encouraging and equipping them to know and serve Christ. FCA ministers to coaches through Bible studies, staff contacts, prayer support, discipleship and mentoring, Behind the Bench (a program for coaches wives), resources, outreach events, national and local conventions, conferences and retreats.

Behind the Bench

Behind the Bench is FCA’s newsletter for coaches’ wives. It includes stories that will encourage and challenge women to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ, articles that will help in dealing with pressures unique to the coaching profession and practical tips for daily living. Behind the Bench is published here nine times each year as well as distributed through our e-newsletter system and in our magazine, Sharing the Victory.
