The 2012 Central Illinois FCA Home Team Banquet Tuesday, March 13th
at
the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield, IL.
FCA Home Team Banquets are annual dinners designed to showcase the events, ministries and programs of the Central Illinois FCA. The banquets feature nationally-known speakers as well as area student-athletes and coaches. Our annual Home Team Banquet is held each spring in Springfield.

This years guest speaker is Colt McCoy, the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. Colt was drafted by the Browns in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Colt McCoy played for the University of Texas Longhorns during his college football career. Colt was named 2008 Heisman Memorial Trophy Runner-up. In 2009 Colt earned 13 of 15 major college player awards including quarterback of the year, offensive player of the year and outstanding football player of the year. Even though Colt McCoy is in the spotlight for athletic talent, Colt was once quoted saying, "The number one thing in my life is Jesus Christ and without Him I am nothing. Without Him, I have accomplished nothing and I want everyone to know that..." Using his fame to show that God is the reason he is successful is just the start to the great man who is Colt McCoy.
The event is by-invitation only, with area civic and church leaders serving as table hosts. To volunteer to serve as a table host or to ensure that you receive an invitation, please contact the FCA office by telephone at 217-241-2020 or by email to kevinelliott@fca.org.
At each banquet, guests have the opportunity to pledge financial support to the Central Illinois Fellowship of Christian Athletes, with those individuals pledging $25 per month or more being recognized as Home Team members.
